Background: The incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD), coronary heart (CHD), and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in people with the metabolic syndrome has not been thoroughly established (at least 3 following: abdominal adiposity, low HDL cholesterol, high triglycerides, hypertension, impaired fasting glucose). goal was to look at relationship between traits risk CVD, CHD, T2DM.
